ALEX'S 3 YEAR WELL CHECK...

He is finally at a normal weight. The last two times he's been to the pediatrician, they said he was too little and to load him up with buttered veggies and milkshakes. They weren't all too concerned though, because he was always on the smaller side. Needless to say, he is now 28lbs and in the 25th percentile for weight and 26th for height. Dr was very pleased that he is already completely potty trained and even more shocked that he is "night potty-trained"........meaning that he doesn't sleep with pull-ups and he doesn't have accidents in his bed. He has a little potty in the corner of his room that he uses if he needs to. The dr asked him plenty of questions to see what he knew. She thoroughly checked him out and said he's perfect and she couldn't be happier. ::pats self on back:: Anyway, I'm glad he had an appt scheduled because he was sick for a few weeks before the appt and his cough wasn't going away. She checked him out and said he had fluid in both ears and that he probably had a sinus infection that needed antibiotics to fully go away. So we started him that night and by the next night, his cough was getting better. poor little guy!!! Oh....one more proud mommy moment I would like to share....... Dr said he would need one shot. She let him pick his band-aid and thankfully, it was a dinosaur one!!! I tried to distract him into looking at something on my phone, but he looked at her give him the shot instead. Hed didn't even flinch. Not one tear or anything...it was if she had done nothing at all. She patched him up and we were on our way!!! My little Alex is growing up so fast!!! He becomes more boy and has more energy each and every day. I love you panda!!! I'm so lucky to be your mommy!!!

Not the greatest picture, but he's doing what he loves best!!!

TOOT'S FUNNY FARM...

Yes I am still here. I believe that is the longest I have gone without posting since I started my blog. The weather has been beautiful and I've been outside with the kids ALL.DAY.LONG. And my blogging has been suffering because of it. By the time the kids and I come inside, it's time for dinner, baths, milk, and, (usually) bed, but like I said- the weather is nice and so sometimes we go back outside for a 7:30pm stroll. lol. Then once the kiddies are in bed, I have a massive amount of cleaning to do and by the time that is done, I'm in no mood to upload pics to the computer and then come up with a clever blog post. Anyway, I am now playing catch up....So, I'm taking everyone back about a month ago. Emily was invited to her first school-friends' birthday party. A sweet girl by the name of Alana. It was at a place called Toot's Funny Farm. Matt stayed back at the house with the boys while I took Emily. It was such a fun place. It was at a farm, hence the name, and the kids loved it!!! There were freshly hatched baby ducks and newly born little baby bunnies........and you were allowed to go pick them up and hold them as you pleased---and that is all Em wanted to do the whole time. She really didn't even care about the pony rides- she just wanted to keep holding the fuzzy little guys. And I don't blame her........they were adorable. But being the adult, I had to try and get her to play with the other kids and be social. So she did both pony rides and she had so much fun. They also had some baby piglets, goats, and some other random animals floating around. They had pizza and horse cupcakes. It was such a different place to have a party and the kids seemed to ALL have a good time. Boys and girls alike. Emily has not stopped asking to go back since!!!

I'M STILL HERE...

I feel like I haven't posted in forever, but in reality I don't think it's even been a week. I have so many posts that I have to catch up on. Coming up.....Alex's 3 year well check, Emily's first school friend's birthday party, Mother's Day, more "pictures you may have missed posts, Easter part 2, and Storybook land.... I've been really busy, have alot on my mind, and to be honest---- I'm lazy and haven't gotten around to uploading pics on computer. The memory card on my camera holds so many pics that Nicky's newborn pictures are still on it. So that means everytime I upload pics to the computer, 300+ pics upload every.single.time. And I haven't gotten around to copying them to a cd and that's why they are still saved onto the camera. Just in case. After Emily is done school we have to run to the bank and then we are coming home and making 3, yes 3!, different types of muffins. Emily loves muffins soooo much. Ok, well I have to wake Nicky up and flip some laundry now. fun. I'll try to get at least one post done tonight- but don't bet your life on it......:)

JUST BECAUSE...

Mother's Day is tomorrow and this is one of my favorite poems, so I thought I would share it......

A baby asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow,

But how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"

God said, "Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."

The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have

To do anything but sing and smile to be happy."

God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you.

And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy."

Again the small child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand

When people talk to me if I don't know the language?"

God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words

You will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will

Teach you how to speak."

"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"

God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach

You how to pray."

"Who will protect me?"

God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life."

"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore."

God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach

You the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth

Could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave

Now, please tell me my angel's name."

God said, You will simply call her, "Mom."

HAPPY EARLY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

UNDER CONSTRUCTION...

Sorry if some things are a little "off" on the blog. I'm in the process of changing things around and hopefully giving it a much needed update!!!

LATEST FUNNY!

I will start by saying Emily has gotten pretty social. Usually her opening line when meeting people is, "Nice shirt ya got there". Well, the other day the kids and I were in Wawa and Emily turned around in line and said to the innocent lady behind us- "Hi. I'm five. Do you have any kids?"......poor lady appeased my sweet, curious little 5 year old and had a mini conversation with her about how her kids were all grown up and how they had kids of their own. I also had a conversation with her in the car after we left about being nosey. lol. not sure she understood!

IT ALL STARTED SUNDAY NIGHT...

It was almost bedtime for the kiddies and Alex started looking lethargic and like he was going to pass out. Then he got sick a few times. I thought maybe it was the heat so, I zoomed around, shut the windows and turned the a.c. on. The next morning he woke up and he was fine. Then, last night after I put him to bed, he was banging on his door minutes later because he had gotten sick.......alot........So, I had to strip him and his bed and put new clothes and new sheets on. Then, around 3am, Nicky woke up crying and he was burning hot.......He wouldn't go back to sleep. I took him in bed with me but he still wasn't falling asleep. So, I stumbled, blurry-eyed, down the stairs and got the tylenol. Nicky hates tylenol. You have to mix it with a small amount of water and give him a straw to drink it. This is no fun at 3am. We went back upstairs and laid in bed. Nicky fell asleep about 20 minutes later, but for some reason I couldn't go back to sleep until around 5am. Then my mom called at 6am........for no reason.........thanks mom! lol. So, I guess our plans to go to Storybook Land and to sleep at mom-mom and pop-pop's have been canceled. Alex seems fine now and Nicky's fever has gone down, but I don't want to drag them around if I don't have to. They need fluids and rest. So........maybe we'll go Monday or Tuesday when daddy has off. Well, Nicky is napping now so I'm going to go drink my best friend......ie- coffee. I should also clean up as much as possible now before he wakes up because he's pretty clingy. So...I'll keep you all update. Sorry- no time for pictures.
I'M SO SICK OF VIRUSES, INFECTIONS, FEVERS, THROWING UP, SNOTTY NOSES, EAR ACHES, SORE THROATS, COUGHING, AND LAUNDRY!!!

SUNSHINE!

So happy the sun was shining yesterday and we were able to get outside. We set up the sprinkler in the front yard for the kids to play with their friends. Emily's neighborhood friends had a half day so they were able to play early too! We started playing around 1pm while Nicky was napping. Then we took a freeze pop break, played a game of memory, and then they were back in the sprinkler. I left it up for awhile so Nicky could play when he woke up. He ran under it a little bit but kept running back out. He didn't really know what to make of it. By the time he woke up, it wasn't as hot as earlier in the day, so maybe that had something to do with it. The sprinkler is adorable and all the kids had a great time, so I was really happy. Daddy got home around 6pm with some yummy dinner that mom-mom sent with him and so I didn't have to cook!!! After dinner we watched Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeakquel and it was adorable. Oh and during the movie the ice cream truck came around and we got some of that. Usually, we get a cup of ice cream for Nicky and Alex to share because neither of them  can eat the whole thing. BUT.....Nicky wanted nothing to do with Alex's, so we got him his own. I held him in my lap while he "ate" it. The majority was on his jammies and on his face......and by the time the movie was over it was 8:30 so we didn't have time for baths....I cleaned Nicky up the best I could with baby wipes, but he still went to bed with sticky hair!!!! don't judge me. Anyway, today the kids and I went food shopping, then Emily went across the street to play with her friends in what she says, "the cooler sprinkler". It's actually a slip n slide which Nicky and Alex are too little for. Those things scare me. Ok....you're officially caught up now. I'm gonna finish watching the flyers get their butts kicked. ::sigh::
(That's the only picture I have for now. His face is green from his St Patricks Day doughnut.)
